Wikki Touristâ€™s Abba Umar is unfazed by the position of their midweek opponents, MFM in the Nigeria Professional Football League log as they clash in a Matchday 18 fixture.

Umar disclosed that he and his teammatesâ€™ major priority is to deliver the three points to ensure they moveÂ out of the relegation zone at the end of the latest round of matches.

He said with the league season at its home stretch, any struggling team that fails to pick up points in their home matches, risks the danger of flirting with the relegation zone.

â€œIt was just a wonderful feeling to return to the game against Sunshine Stars and the fantastic goal I scored too,â€ Umar told Goal.

â€œI was not meant to play that game but the medical team worked around the clockÂ and I was able to make it. We have a game against MFM on Wednesday and I do not think we are bothered about where they are or who they are in the league.

â€œWe just want to go to the pitch and fight for the three points. The position we are on the league table does not give an opportunity for any error and it will be great to scoop these three points before bothering ourselves about the next one after now.â€

Umar also reflected on a season where heÂ scored seven goals in the league for the Giant Elephant.

â€œIt has been a wonderful feeling for me to score this muchÂ because before the start of the season I actually set a modest target,â€ he continued.

â€œI donâ€™t want to overwhelm myself with what I should have done and also placing a huge target before me that could serve as a distraction. I will continue to give my best to Wikki Tourist and ensure that we do not go down.â€

Wikki Tourist are in ninth position on the NPFL Group A table with 22 points from 17 games ahead of the visit of MFM who are placed in third spot with 27 points from 17 matches.
